Mother's Day

I believe I will be pretty busy tomorrow so I wanted to take a moment and wish all of the Mommy's in the blogging world "A Very Happy Mother's Day".
 Mom's are very special women and come in so many different ways. They don't have to give birth to be a GREAT Mom. Some have Step kids, some have fur babies, some adopt, but all have BIG loving hearts!!!
So remember to tell your Mom that you appreciate all she has done for you in the past and the love she continues to show you everyday!

Wow! I really have been absent from my blog...Sorry and Thanks for sticking with me.
 I have been busy creating for my 1st Craft Show of Season. I have started sewing crochet headbands so you can customize your size. Some companies think they are one size fits all and I know that is NOT true. I am also offering Gerbera Flowers and Zinnia's as Hair Clips and Headbands.

I have also started creating 5/8" Headband Elastic with an Opening for a Hair clip.

If you are looking for some Felt Flower Headbands, I have those too...

Happy New Year Everyone!

I sincerely hope you all enjoyed your Holiday and New Year. Christmas was crazy for us with out daughter getting very ill suddenly on Christmas Eve. We ended up in the ER with her on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Then with all the medicines and breathing treatments the Holiday was over and I completely missed it. BUT my daughter is better and I couldn't be happier! Thanks to the help from my older son's Santa arrived without a hitch :)

I am currently suffering a relapse of Lymes Disease and it is NO fun at all. So with all of this relaxing I am getting ready to start my Spring crafting. I have some new ideas and I cannot wait to share them with you.

Hi Everyone,
I have been absent for a while..you know how life gets in the way. We just had a huge Graduation/18th Birthday/Off to College Party for my son and I am so ashamed to say that we did not take one picture :(  We had a blast though! My summer has been so relaxing so far. I am getting the Fall itch to craft especially since I finally go my craft area ready to create. Here are a few pictures

I am really excited to start quilting again. I have been doing some little crafts like knitting a blanket and some small Christmas Ornies but that is it. I wanted to wait until Ryan leaves for college before I really dig back into my business. It is coming so fast and I am going to miss him so much!

I have had a cooking bug lately...My brother has been sending me tons of giant zuccini from him garden along with tons of tomatoes. So of course I HAD to go on Pinterest for some new recipes. I found a Zuccini Tots recipe that is out of this world and Zuccini Fries recipe also. The next one is Slow Roasted Tomatoes..here is the recipe I found for those http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2008/08/14/slow-roasted-tomatoes/ I will let you know how this turns out.

Hi Everyone,

Yes I survived my surgery and learned that I have a very unique heart as well. At first the recovery was slow but now I feel terrific. I had to get the house back in order and buy a new computer but I am SO ready to dive right in. I am currently running a 20% Off special in my Log Cabin Crafters shop. If you have been on the shelf waiting to purchase something, then hurry over and do it because I am only running this special until 6/30/2012.

On a personal note: I am SO excited to say that tomorrow evening I will be watching as my youngest son Ryan, receives his HS diploma...I can remember watching him get a Kindergarten diploma and it seems like yesterday. I am so proud of him and what he has achieved. He is heading to Millersville University in the fall. Here is his handsome face lol I am sure I will be choking down some tears. Now all I have left at home is my little girl (Ava) and she will be attending Kindergarten in the fall.....squeeling with joy at the thought...ha ha ha  Isn't that terrible of me. I adore her, honestly!

The Big Day!

To all of my faithful followers I apologize that I have not posted anything in a while. I have been very busy since the move. I have Ava starting school, Ryan graduating school, Ryan's 18th Birthday coming up and then he is off to college. There has been lots of planning going on here. I also made the decision to get my heart surgery done. Tomorrow is the big day! I hope everything goes smooth but there are just in case plans already made :) I have been creating but both of my computers crashed so I am not having an easy time posting pics to my website. When this is all over I will be getting a new computer and I will be up and running again. I just wanted to say Thanks for sticking with me!!

Hello Faithful Followers:
 ust checking in to let you know I am still above ground lol  Seriously, the move is still going on...I have been very sick for 2 weeks and trying to decorate is the last thing on my mind as I cough and cough...Then there are the taxes that I was supposed to have done last week but ....now where did I put that paperwork...geez not funny either. The house is coming along and everyone is very happy to have the extra room and 3 plus acres. So I will share the good and the bad with you through these pictures lol'

Gettin My Move On

Good Saturday Morning! These last few weeks have been so busy for us. My oldest son (Sean) was home from the Army for the week with his GF, her son & his daughter. We had a huge family party at my house and it was so much fun. The room was filled with Love and Laughter!
Then we got sick...My daughter got it then I got it. Still have a fever and sore throat today :(  It is all good though because we got it out of the way before the BIG MOVE...Yup I said it. We are moving AGAIN next week. I cannot wait.
Spring is in the air and I cannot wait to get settled in and start crafting...I want to make some bunnies and carrots, faux flowers of fabic etc..The shops will remain open through it all...I must be crazy lol

Lookin' for some Blogger Love...

Hi Friends! I hope you all are having a wonderful day. It's almost the weekend...Yay!!! So the reason for the title is this...I really need some help with organizing these fabrics. If you have a method that works for you, please leave me a comment and tell me what it is. I have most of them by color but what to do with the multi-colored fabrics. I was thinking maybe organizing them by the larger or background color???

And last but not least my new Rag Rug. It is all Homespun fabric. It is going to be a lot bigger than I had planned on but it's ok!

This is such an easy project to do and it keeps my hands busy while watching TV...yeah like I get to do that! Well, I do but it is Nick Jr. all day....yes I know don't be jealous! lol

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying your Valentine's Day. Me and the Princess spent the morning creating cards for Daddy and her brothers, then the REAL mess started lol We made Cheesecake stuffed Strawberries dipped in chocolate...Yummy. WIP!

Hello Everyone,
I have been one busy lady lately! I woke up one day and just couldn't stand looking at all of the storage containers of fabric that I have. Honestly, they were messy too. Fabric just squished down into them. I had been Blog Stalking late at night (something I do very often) and saw an idea for organizing fabric using comic book boards. You roll your fabric around these boards to make mini bolts. So I ordered them and got started. This was no small job...it took me an entire week. Of course what takes me a week, would take someone else a day or two at the most. I only get a few minutes here or there to myself. Here are some pictures of what I did:

When I am finished it is going to look like my own little Quilt Shop :)  While I was rolling the bolts, I was also folding and stacking  my fat quarters. Well now what am I going to do with all of these, I thought to myself. So I went to Target and looked at some storage ideas and found this, and filled it...

They are not really organized my color as I would like but I did it in a few minutes with the little Princess helping (shoving them in any where lol). I must admit that I am having trouble with the fabrics that have multi colors..Where do they go? How do I organize them? If you have an idea PLEASE PLEASE leave me a comment.

I don't know about where you are but I think this is the most mild winter we have ever had. I was actually out at the local playground with my daughter today and it was 60 degrees! I am totally loving it. I am sorry for all of you skiers out there. Today is my 8th Wedding Anniversary and we will be celebrating it this weekend..Yay! We have a babysitter for a change. Not sure what we will do because my poor Hubby is having oral surgery on Saturday so I guess dinner is out...lol  Poor guy!

Happy 2012 Everyone

Whew, it has been a while. I truly hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday!
I was late getting my Christmas tree up and decorations out this year. It all worked out in the end though. I stress over it all and it falls into place anyway. Here is a picture of my Christmas tree for 2011

This picture really doesn't do it justice but you get the idea. This was my 1st attempt with Deco Mesh. Next years tree will be better. My husband and I snuck away for an evening of fun at his Company Christmas Party...

We went to Christmas Eve service at church and as we walked in a bit late, I was hanging up my coat and looked toward the entrance to the Cathedral and there was Dr. Oz. I was so excited but held it in as I walked past him and his family. I asked a gentlemen if there was anymore seating and he said only in the Chapel on the other side so I walked across with my family to be seated over there. I was surprised when Dr. Oz followed us over there and sat down right in front of me...I spoke to him briefly at the end of the service. That made my evening...I love his show! 

My daughter was thrilled when she came down and saw that Santa had come...The rest of Christmas day was spent putting toys together etc..I hosted my family Christmas dinner later that night and a Dirty Santa Swap as well.
I must admit that I was over joyed to see 2011 go. It was a terrible year for me and my family. I have faith that 2012 is going to be a much better year and it is already looking good for me. I am in the process of  re-opening my LogCabinCrafters.com store through Prim Mart and it should be up and running within a month. I will also be able to accept credit cards without having to go through Paypal.
Well I believe that is enough babble for one day! Thanks for reading...
