I don't know about where you are but I think this is the most mild winter we have ever had. I was actually out at the local playground with my daughter today and it was 60 degrees! I am totally loving it. I am sorry for all of you skiers out there. Today is my 8th Wedding Anniversary and we will be celebrating it this weekend..Yay! We have a babysitter for a change. Not sure what we will do because my poor Hubby is having oral surgery on Saturday so I guess dinner is out...lol Poor guy!

Whew, it has been a while. I truly hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday!
I was late getting my Christmas tree up and decorations out this year. It all worked out in the end though. I stress over it all and it falls into place anyway. Here is a picture of my Christmas tree for 2011

This picture really doesn't do it justice but you get the idea. This was my 1st attempt with Deco Mesh. Next years tree will be better. My husband and I snuck away for an evening of fun at his Company Christmas Party...

We went to Christmas Eve service at church and as we walked in a bit late, I was hanging up my coat and looked toward the entrance to the Cathedral and there was Dr. Oz. I was so excited but held it in as I walked past him and his family. I asked a gentlemen if there was anymore seating and he said only in the Chapel on the other side so I walked across with my family to be seated over there. I was surprised when Dr. Oz followed us over there and sat down right in front of me...I spoke to him briefly at the end of the service. That made my evening...I love his show!

My daughter was thrilled when she came down and saw that Santa had come...The rest of Christmas day was spent putting toys together etc..I hosted my family Christmas dinner later that night and a Dirty Santa Swap as well.
I must admit that I was over joyed to see 2011 go. It was a terrible year for me and my family. I have faith that 2012 is going to be a much better year and it is already looking good for me. I am in the process of re-opening my LogCabinCrafters.com store through Prim Mart and it should be up and running within a month. I will also be able to accept credit cards without having to go through Paypal.
Well I believe that is enough babble for one day! Thanks for reading...

Getting Back in the Game!

Howdy Ya'll,

Things have been Wild around here lately! In a good way though. We had our German Student come and visit us for 3 weeks and WOW what a wonderful experience for all of us. His name is Cem,(pictured far left) and we planned on taking him to all sorts of cool places but instead we got that nasty storm before Halloween and lost power for a week. That was a New experience for him though Lol. He quickly became one of the family and will be missed by all of us.

We were lucky enough to find a neighborhood with power to Trick or Treat. It was Ava's 1st real Trick or Treating experience so we had to go some where. Here is a photo of Ava as Dora and her cousin Danny as a Vampire:

Update and a Shout Out!

Hello Everyone,
Gosh things have been busy for me. In the last Month I had my oldest son come home from the Army with my Granddaughter. He was only here for about a week and a half but it was so good to see him again. It was almost a year since I saw him. My beautiful Granddaughter Laila is almost a year, and so darn cute.

Unfortunately while he was here he had pneumonia, that was scarey. Then my youngest son developed a sinus infection :( and now my daughter Ava has been very sick for the past 3 days with a very high fever. Needless to say I am exhausted!
We are preparing for our German Student to come in a few weeks, so exciting! We are really into Fall around here so he is going to get his fill of this season from us for sure :)

Hi Blogger Buds!
Are you gearing up for the next big storm? Yuck it is going to be a bad hair weekend for me..blah! Hope all of my lawn ornaments survive the 100 mph winds.
So here is an update of what I have been up to. I started this Quilted Tree Shirt several years ago and never got around to finishing it, so I pulled it out and started the binding:

Then the Fall bug really bit me. I was late night Blog stalking and I saw this cute little scarecrow and just had to try making it myself. I have only finished one so far but here he is:

So like I said, I have the fall crafting bug and I have already started a female scarecrow and a witches hat:

I am still fighting some sort of illness from the Journey concert and just getting my voice back after 4 days. Oops and before I forget, here is my Witch...I am still not thrilled with her and have decided to sell her instead of keeping her. I still have to work on her hat and a few minor details:

Howdy Ya'll,
I SO have the itch to be creative lately. I am thinking about Fall, Halloween, Carving Pumpkins, Pumpkin Bread...ooo see...I can go on and on. I went out today and purchased a set of saw horses so I can start cutting wood. I cannot wait to get started. I have so many craft ideas floating around in my head. Our weather here in PA has been steamy and most unpleasant BUT it is supposed to change come Thursday so that is the day I have chosen to get some cutting done.
I mentioned before that I opened LittlePagsBoutique.com and I am slowly adding products, so please go and check it out. I would LOVE some comments here on what ya think so far!
On a personal note, I am still gearing up for my son's deployment. I believe this is why I have not been sleeping well for the last week. We have not been able to pin point the week yet that we will be able to travel to see him in NC. I also have some friends that could use a prayer or two...One just lost her brother in Afghanistan and the Other is dealing with Cancer. My heart and prayers go out to these two families.

Hot Enough for Ya?

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I have been absent for a bit but you know how life gets in the way! I went on a wonderful and very relaxing vacation to Ocean City, MD. It was hot there and now it is blazing here in PA too. I am looking forward to some cooler temps, especially now that my sweet 4 y/o has learned how to miniature golf. Looks like we will be doing lots of that now. Ahh vacation...as soon as I got back everything went crazy again. I got the call from my oldest son that he is deploying for Afghanistan on Oct. 19th. I don't really think I need to write how I am feeling about that! My other son had a motorcycle accident 2 days ago...he is okay...don't think I really need to write how I feel about that Motorcycle either! My daughter got sick AGAIN..oui and their have been numerous robberies in my neighborhood in the last week.
I am opening my Little Pags Boutique store, hopefully by next Monday so please check back for details. I would love to hear your comments on the look, layout etc..I am also opening Log Cabin Crafters again but that will be at a later date.

I truly hope you are all enjoying this beautiful warm weather. I have been very busy lately as always. My son Ryan has left for Germany for 3wks and having the time of his life there. I have Ava's Birthday on Monday, then her very 1st Dance Recital...Hope she doesn't freeze on stage! lol Then that evening we are celebrating her Daddy's Birthday. These warm days are flying by for me, how about you? I am SO looking forward to vacation at the beach. Long walks on the boardwalk and a few mixed drinks :0) I have been working on some Hair Clips for Fall and will be opening my new shop soon. Please check back for details on that. Memorial Day Weekend

Hi Yall,
I hope you are all enjoying your Memorial Day Weekend so far. I had a very relaxing day today. I got some things done that needed doing but I also relaxed on a lounge chair with a glass of wine and really took in what a beautiful day it was here in PA today. I decided it was time to dig into my boxes of craft supplies and make some things to sell...today it was wreaths. Here are some pics but they don't do them justice..they really are prettier in person.

These are just some of the things that I will be selling tomorrow on my front yard. I decided to have a yard/craft sale tomorrow, we'll see how it goes.

What have we have been up to you ask? Well, my son Ryan went to the Junior/Senior Prom with his friend Pavane. I am so proud, don't they look wonderful?!! They combine the Prom here but Ryan is a Junior. He is leaving soon for the German Exchange Program and it is so exciting. I know he is going to LOVE it!

We enjoyed some much needed family fun time at a local elementary school for a Carnival. This is my daughter Ava and me before it got sweltering hot and I felt like an idiot for not watching the forecast. My poor little girl was the only person there with long sleeves and pants :( We had a great time anyway.
We will be very busy for the next few weeks but then I intend to open a new shop: www.littlepagsboutique.com

Happy Mother's Day!

I wanted to take a moment to wish all of you a Happy Mother's Day, whether you have children or 4 legged fur babies. Today is a wonderful day to honor yourself for all that we do for everyone else all year around. Where would this world be without us and our kind loving hearts?? I was lucky enough to be able to sleep in this morning after a late night with great company at Chuckie Cheese...(yeah, rough) then I was treated to a lovely homemade breakfast and my son Braeden joined us. My oldest son Sean called to wish me a Happy Mother's Day while out spoiling his wife, just as he should.
I am heading outside to craft some wreaths and do some painting...YAY!!! I also wanted to add a picture of the quilt I am working on for my son's German Host Family. I hope it turns out nice enough to give as a gift.

Easter Decorations and Party Planning

Hi All,

I have been MIA from my blog. I posted about a Birthday Party for my Brother some time ago and it got pushed back to April 16th. I am so busy with party details these days. I also decided to return the Princess to daycare...Yay! NOT...she started on Monday then went on Tuesday and by Thursday she was running a 101 temp. with a stuffy/runny nose. I was up with her for 3 nights straight. I took her to the Pediatrician on Monday morning and she has double ear infections. I really hate this for her and myself. She begs me to take her to daycare because she misses her friends and I want to take her because I NEED a break but I can't stand how sick she gets everytime. Hind site, I really wish I had another baby right after her. She is basically an only child. On a better note, being older (3 1/2) she is taking the antibiotics like a trooper. No tantrums!
I created an Easter Tree. It is decorated with all of my own handmade ornaments...except for the dollar store eggs. Oops need to clarify..The grungy Bunny was my own original design the others were blog pattern freebies. I just got started so there aren't a lot so far. Here is a picture

I am also working hard on some new hair clippies. I have had some wonderful offers to place my Hair Clips into some high profile places...hopefully my business will pick up.

I have been working on some new Headbands also. I have decided to get back into quilting. I will be selling some quilted Beach Blankets from my selling blog as soon as they are finished. Be sure to check it out at Log Cabin Crafters I must admit that I am sort of burned out of Craft Shows and have not signed up for any thus far. I have a lot going on in my personal life right now. My husband has to have surgery on his finger in a few weeks..I am sure that is not going to be any fun. Then my #1 Army Soldier (Specialist Kindness) is talking deployment. I must admit that it scares me to dealth...he is 25 years old and still my little guy in my heart. Here is a more recent picture of my son.

Speechless??? Yeah Right! LOL

Holla Yall!

I am so over winter, how about you? We got a nice taste of spring weather the other day and I was full of energy. It felt SO good to be outside.
I was so bummed out to have to shut down my website yesterday :( BUT at the same time there are a lot of changes coming my way and I am looking forward to it. I usually don't like change but I have had too much drama in my life lately and I am literally excited to leave it all behind me! I think it is hard when you make your life about your children and then they grow up and move away, have lives of their own and you stand there and think "Now what?" This is my chance to have the life I have always wanted...to travel, have fun, let loose. We are talking about moving again...Insane!!! I know..how many times can a family move? Well the flooding in the basement of this new home didn't help. I can smell the mold already! Not good for the Princess...
So I was thinking Texas might me nice...I can start carrying my gun around in my holster...ha ha Just kidding! Seriously I have an old HS friend there and I am so ready to get away from PA!!!
I will be starting a selling blog for Log Cabin Crafters. Hi Everyone,
I am really liking my new Blog Template...I won it from Adori Graphics on April Showers Blog. I think it is so cute. I am still tweeking things but so far so good!
On the home front I am feeling much better. Not great but better...I am planning a Surprise 43rd Birthday Party for my brother Dwight. He has been my best friend, confidant, and rock when I needed it. We have been through SO much together and I want to do this to show him how much I love and appreciate him in my life!

Today I am working on some cute Hair Clips and sewing a few pillows for fun! I will add pictures later. It is a rainy day here in PA..perfect time to get some cleaning and odds and ends done!

Sleepy Saturday

Howdy All,
I hope you all had a chance to sleep in. I woke up early with the sound of the whipping wind outside! Then of course I HAD to look out the window and see a storage container that my son left outside, just waiting for the next big gust to push in into the street...ugh...so out I ran in my silly pj's to get it! Then..it turned into one of those days..I snuck a Strawberry Toaster Strudel, I say snuck because I don't think it is on the list of things that I am allowed to eat on my pre-op diet...and when I went to open that sweet icing packet it tore in half and plopped all over the plate..oh well at least it didn't hit the floor!
So how was your Valentine's Day? I spent the entire day creating stuff with my 3 y/o. We baked a Lemon Cake for Daddy and when we tried to get it out of the Bundt pan it broke in half..she was so upset and I told her "It's okay, we will ice it and no one will even know". Yeah right ha ha it was pretty bad! Then we made a banner that we found on a blog that I follow called A Few Of My Favorite Things..you can find it here: http://mybabyfaves.blogspot.com/. This was our 1st ever Banner, but it came out okay

Then we decided to make a Button Bracelet. I am going to add a clasp to it but didn't get around to it yet!

Then I decided to go on Etsy and just look around at kids stuff. I found the most adorable Photo Frame for my Little Rock Star. It is made by Our Little Ones Boutique

I contacted her and asked about doing a custom order for me in Hot Pink, Black and White. Sandra is awesome to work with. We decided to do a trade...I LOVE trading it is so much fun. So here is what I made and already shipped to her. She has two little girls that fell in love with these from my shop!

When I receive my Picture Frame I will post a picture.
On the home front, I have completed almost all of my medical tests and came through with flying colors. Actually better than I had hoped. So I am just waiting for the big one on Tuesday and that decides my fate! Say a little prayer for me please. We had some excitement last night as we ventured down into our basement to find it completely covered in water...:( At least I had most of my things in storage containers :)
The Princess and I went to dance class for the 1st time last Wed. and it was horrible. She wouldn't even stand up or get involved. Kids are so funny. I was shocked, she was shy??!! My daughter? She loves to dance but instead just cried. I think it was just because of all things that have been going on at home with Daddy's injury and then my hospital stay and maybe a little separation anxiety! It was so bad that I signed her up!!! Yup I did. She is going back and gonna love it...ha ha She pinky swore!!! That is BIG here.

Ahhh Just Enjoying the Little Things!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I did! I ran into an old co-worker in the supermarket of all places. He and I worked together 20 years ago...so weird that it has been that long. It was really good to see him though. My sister stopped over with 2 of my nephews on Saturday and we laughed and talked. She was full of smiles and so happy. I love my sister's boys too..all 5 of them, they are so sweet and well behaved!
I have really stepped back and looking at life differently lately. It really feels good too! I spent the weekend doing a little sewing. I have to get this Gingerbread Girl Ornament in the mail to my friend and it is coming out so cute. I will post a picture soon. Oh yeah and Friday my 3 y/o and I made a heart shaped pillow for Valentine's Day. She did a great job but then pulled it apart later...oh well!
I just had to write this...I found out today that I have a blog stalker! How creepy! Her name is Linda and she is from somewhere in a very dark place from Our past. When I blog I usually type feeling that I am writing to friends, family from a far, and customers but never stopped to think that sad scarey, unhappy, mean people would be reading my blog just to find out things about myself and my husband...I just wanted to share this because you might want to rethink what you write and WHO is reading it!!!!

Enough All Ready!!!!

Hello Everyone!

I have been going through the most awful ordeal ever. I was not feeling well on Friday & Saturday nights..tummy pains. On Sunday January 30th I went to the ER and almost passed out waiting. They took me back and started the ususal poking and proding...I had a CAT Scan that showed my entire bowel was inflamed and infected, they also saw some sort of mass....WHAT??? Mass? OM Gosh..I was really scared but who knew that it was only going to get worse...Jan 31st was our 7 year Anniversary and we both forgot with all of this excitement going on. The next day was more meds and IV's and my veins were not helping...tons of sticks then the pain subsided and I really was starting to feel some what better (no tummy pain anymore). They decided to send me down for another CAT Scan to see how things looked now after several days of antibiotics. Well let me tell you my body did not like the 3 giant cups of orange tasting die...I have never suffered diarrhea like that..sorry for the TMI!!! Anyway, that night I was cleaning myself up and had lots of good news and feeling better about things. I was right in the middle of saying my prayers at around 12am and BANG my heart goes crazy..beating I believe it was about 190 bpm...I thought I was having a heart attack..I was already on the Telemetry floor but all alone and scared! I called my husband and with what breath I could muster I told him incase I don't make it through this I love you and please tell all of the kids I love them...It seemed to go on for 5-10 min. I am not really sure...It was the scarest thing I have ever experienced in my life..I really thought it was over. Anyway after several more tests they decided it was Acute Colitis and sent me home on Thursday evening. I am still weak, tired..and not 100% sure that there isn't something else lingering yet but at least I am home and feeling somewhat better. I am nervous to do the next two tests on the 22nd but want to know what is going on so I can relax or tackle it!

These would make a great Valentine's Day gift also. I do not add the nuts and I do not add the butterscotch bits but you may want to.
So here is what has been going on with me...Jan. 12th was my 44th Birthday :( And it was one of the worst days I have had in a VERY long time. I got a call from my husband around lunch time saying that there was an accident at work and he lost all of his teeth..then he said I am on my way to the hospital and I will call you later. I was so upset not hearing from him then for hours..the day totally dragged and I was worried sick. By evening I started making phone calls and trying to find him and find out what was going on...I finally got hold of his boss and able to talk to someone that was with him. He had surgery and came home around 9pm. He looked like someone beat him up. This will be a long recovery for him...poor guy he can hardly eat!
Then a few days later my son Sean and his wife CC came home for a visit...YAY! I met my Granddaughter for the 1st time...so sweet. She is only 3 months old

The day Sean arrived my other son Braeden left to hang steel in NC. What a day! When they got here we all got sick, including the baby :( and woke up one morning with no heat. We called the landlord only to find that one of the kids flipped the emergency switch on the wall by accident and shut off the oil burner...Oops...Sorry to have made you come over here 1st thing in the morning Mr Landlord...he he Anywho, needless to say there has not been a whole lot of crafting going on here.
I re-opened Log Cabin Crafters on Etsy (www.logcabincrafters.etsy.com) and cleaning out some of my business supplies so head over for some good deals! Here is an example of what is up for sale

Getting Back to Normal

Hi All!

Hope you all enjoyed your Holidays and that they were full of fun, family, friends and lots of food. BUT now it is back to the norm and taking off all of those extra pounds etc...yuk! Oh come on it isn't all THAT bad really. I got my butt in gear today and started my physical health kick. I do not diet, never have...it is the ultimate four letter word to me. If I deprive myself then I just want more, so I exercise regularly, try to eat healthy and have dessert if I want to. Nothing crazy, just 1/2 hour on the treadmill every other day to start then I change it up when that gets too easy. I then move to low impact Step Aerobics. I use an old tape by Denise Austin that I have had for about 20 years and it works wonders. I got pretty lazy over the last 3 months having my sister living with me and then the Holiday stress. I definitely noticed a difference in my health with the lack of exercise. Unfortunately my treadmill does not work in this new house. The darn thing shuts off because there is not enough watts of electric to support it. SO I jumped right into the Step Aerobics and Man I FEEL GREAT!!

I have really missed crafting these last few weeks. I sat down yesterday and made this cute little Snowman Ornie while watching Cinderella with the Princess. I have a few others on the way also so check back later to see those.
Did you take your Holiday decor down yet? I tossed the tree the day after Christmas and pulled down all the decorations...WHY? I don't know, I just felt like it. The house sure looks bare now...he he I am so looking forward to 2011. I have so many good things happening this year. My son Sean is coming home in a few weeks for a visit, my Birthday..ugh, and Braeden's 20th Birthday, Our 7 year Anniversary, my DIL's turning 21 while they are home visiting so we will be out dancing for that...That should be tons of fun. I never thought I would see the day that I go out to a club dancing with my son but it is going to be a blast!
Life is good!

Have New Year Resolutions?

Hi Everyone, I truly hope you all enjoyed your Holiday! I am looking forward to the New Year for SO many reasons. I have made a few resolutions for myself/life this year. 1 is GET TO THE GYM...no more being a lazy bones and 2 Learn to work from home and still have a life filled with fun and laughter...it is a lot harder than you think! I am always at work WITH a toddler..ugh What are your resolutions?
So was Santa good to you??? He was VERY good to me...Diamond Heart Necklace and a Cropping Station for Scrap booking...sweet! My DH also took us all out on Christmas Eve to a fancy restaurant called The Ferndale Inn and it was relaxing, delicious and I didn't have to make it! I did drink a bit but it's all good! ha ha
This was the 1st year that I had all of my wrapping finished before Christmas Eve...ahhh so nice. I am looking forward to hitting all of the sales at the mall tomorrow. They have great prices this year.

I am working on some new Baby Head Bands for Little Pags Boutique and I will have them loaded by January 2nd on my Etsy Shop and Log Cabin Crafters Shop.

I also have my son Sean and his family coming home from Ft. Bragg, NC to see us all with the new addition. I cannot wait to get my hands on my Granddaughter! We have used Skype a few times but it just isn't the same without the soft kisses and baby smell...I will post again soon and in the mean time have a safe and Happy New Year to All!!!

Love Family Gatherings!

Happy Holidays Everyone!!!
I decided at the last minute to defrost my 20lb. Turkey and host a family party. We missed the Thanksgiving Family dinner and went to a friends instead this year, so I was really missing family. In all there was about 16 of us in my little country home but we had lots of fun. I made jello shots for the 1st time..he he and boy were they good. The others had a good game of Boggle going on, while I was trying to get skype on my computer to include my favorite Soldier and his family. It filled me with so much joy to be able to see my son Sean and his family on the computer. I cannot wait until he comes home in January...I have not hugged my oldest son in almost 2 years. I miss him deeply!
The morning after the party was a little tough. I stayed up unusually late and might have had a few drinks too many for me. After a while I realized that the headache I was having was on top of my head and the pain was raidiating down my face and I had a tingling on the whole side of my face for the entire day. I then woke up with it again the next day but the numbness was not as bad. Today I still have a headache....yuk!
I have only a few more things to shop for but just haven't been up to doing much of anything. Not sure if it has anything to do with the 6 injections I have been taking in my foot for the Neuroma but I think I am done with those. It isn't working and it hurts to walk so surgery is the next step. Blah blah blah...don't want to sound like I am whining!
I am very excited for Christmas, especially when I look at my 3y/o daughter and see the excitement in her face when we talk about Santa coming. I love driving around in the car with her and listening to her ohhh and ahh at the different lights and decorations on people's houses.
I have no new creations to post as I have decided to relax until the New Year and then I will have lots of new things for you!

Trying to think positive

Hello Everyone,

My day started out terrible. I woke up this am and my computer screen was black and in desperation I tried everything I knew to fix it but could not. I called a the first person I could think of to help fix the problem. He won't have a chance to look at it until Monday but I did not have anything backed up. I lost all of my family photo's and years of graphics for my business and scrapbooking...I am trying to stay positive that he may be able to save everything but I shed a lot of tears first! I learned a tough lesson today...just yesterday I was telling my husband that I need some time on the computer to back things up because if we lost it we would be devastated...should have done it at that very moment...
Keep your fingers crossed for me and I will keep you posted.

So Tired Lately!

Hello all of my faithful followers and any other blog skimmers who have taken the time to read this!!
I have been so tired lately! I did burn the midnight oil for a few weeks but jeez, I just can't seem to catch up again. I think it could be the thought of knowing that I have no more craft shows coming up too. My though process now is to get the house clean for the Holidays and relax with family and friends, but it seems that my body has other plans. My little Princess has not been feeling well either with a stomach virus of sorts.

I got a nice big custom order for a little girls birthday party from my last show. I finally got it finished today..I hope she likes them

I them thought well while I have the stuff out I might as well work on some others..so here is a cute little Hello Kitty Fairy Pendant I did.

Getting Excited for the BIG MAN in RED!!!

I stayed up late last night working on another Wall Plaque. I love making them but this is only the second one so I am still not very confident in my work yet. What do you think?

I am not exactly sure what to charge for them either...I am thinking maybe $6 - $8? Anyway, I was shopping and saw this beautiful wreath and I really wanted it but it was $30 and lets face it I think like a crafter...hmmm I can make that! I sincerely hope everyone enjoyed their Thankgiving. We did not host the family gathering this year, instead we were invited to my DH's Boss's house for a gathering of 65 people and WOW what a beautiful home and the food...delicious! Here is the picture of us just before we left

I was also lucky enough to grab a photo of my younger two boys with my husband. They don't stand still for too long if you know what I mean.

This was almost the best part of Thanksgiving....WE GOT SNOW THIS AM..so we had to get out there and make a snowman with the Princess

Well anyway I got up this morning and instantly ripped all of the fall decor down and started putting up the Christmas decor...I LOVE Christmas! My next post will include my Tree with all of the Primmart Ornie Swap Ornaments on it...
I have been busy making more Ornaments for my upcoming shows and for gift giving...

Another Totally Awesome Crafter....

I was in search of some Thanksgiving Decor and upon searching the web I found this wonderful site http://www.oakhillcrafts.com/store/Default.asp, and after placing an order for this Turkey:

and a really nice conversation on the telephone, I realized this was a very talented and sweet woman. You can tell from her work that she really puts her heart into it. I also found out that she is one of my Prim Sistas...Today I went to the mailbox to discover that this wonderful woman (Dawn) sent me the most beautiful handmade Christmas Ornaments with the names of my children on them. I almost cried when I saw them. I don't think anyone has ever done anything so nice for me! Here are the pictures of the Ornie:

In Need of a Good Soup Recipe?

I found this recipe in a magazine and ripped it out. I pulled out the pile of recipes that I have been saving and started trying them and WOW...this is one soup that my entire family LOVES..which is rare!
It only takes a few minutes to create and it makes a ton of soup that you can freeze for another day. It is called Hamburger Vegetable Soup:

1 pound Ground BIeef
1 medium Onion, chopped
1/2 large Green pepper, diced
4 Garlic cloves, minced
8 cups Beef Broth
2 cans (14 1/2 oz each) Italian Stewed Tomatoes
1 can Green beans
1 can (8 oz) Tomato sauce
1 cup Ditalini pasta
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. dried Oregano
1 tsp. dried Basil
1/2 t. Pepper

In a Dutch oven or Frying Pan, cook the beef, onion, green pepper and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. I put this and the remaining ingredients in a crock pot and place it on low until we are ready to eat. If you want to eat it right away you can mix all ingredients in a soup pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until pasta is tender.
Give this a try, you won't be sorry that you did.

Friday night was the 1st time my husband and I got out alone in a year. We went to the Local 11 Ironworkers Dinner Dance...What a beautiful place and the food was to die for. It was funny, but I realized that we didn't say one word on the hour drive there. I think we were both enjoying the silence for a change. Unfortunately, the Malibu Bay Breezes went down so smooth that the next morning was painful!LOL

My Princess got a new toy. If she is going to drive Quarter Midgets in a few years we figure she better get started now!

It is chock full of information and great websites to buy from etc...One evening while on Primmart I stumbled on a post that included pictures of a recent craft show, when I clicked on it I instantly fell in love with this woman's talent. I'm a Grandmom!!!

I am so excited to post that I am officially a Grandmom as of Oct. 13th. My son Sean and his wife CC had a baby girl. Her name is Laila Nichole. She is SO beautiful and I cannot wait to meet her! I am only 43y/o and honestly not quite ready to be called Grandmom so I requested that she call me Mom Mom...lol

We finally got around to doing the Pumpkin Patch and Hayride. I must say, I love being with my brother and sister. My brother Dwight brought my nephew Danny, and My DH Frank along with my DD Ava and my sister Sandy. We all piled into the tractor drawn wagon, and out to the Pumpkin Patch. We had a great time. After that everyone came back to my house for dinner and then we started carving...we had lots of laughs doing that...it makes me feel like a kid again. En d result...

Puttin On My Super Cape

Wow, things are getting crazy but I love it! I love the Fall and everything that goes with it...Pumpkins, the smell of burning leaves, Halloween decor, Trick or Treating, Pumpkin Pie, Pumkin Bread....etc
By the grace of God we got through a very horrible two plus weeks of illness in our home. My son Ryan had Bronchitis and then sweet little Ava got Pneumonia...very scarey stuff!
I am patiently waiting the birth of my 1st Grand Child, due on Oct. 7th....(patiently? ha..everytime the phone rings and it is my sons ringtone I run to get it)I just can't believe my son is gonna be a Daddy. Oh how I wish they lived closer so we can watch HER (Laila) grow up in person...
On the business front, I have several Craft shows coming up so I am squeezing in some creative time in between breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here is a picture of a few new Hair Clips I will be adding to my shop this week:

STILL Cleaning and Organizing...

Well we finally got into our new house...YAY! It is so beautiful and I am counting my blessings for sure. I have been re-organizing and hanging shelves etc...for days. Don't Give Up On Me Yet!

Just taking a moment in a random parking lot where I was able to use a free wifi connection to update you on what is going on. We ended up renting at the beach for 6 weeks and the house still was not ready so we rented a beautiful Log Cabin on top of a mountain very close to home. I am so happy to be close to my family again. We offically got the call that the house will be ready the weekend of August 14th, so I should be up and running again by the following weekend.

Hello from the Beach!!!

All of this Beach Life has me creating things like this Mermaid...Isn't she cute?! I brought her home to my local craft show and she sold right away. I will be creating others with different colored hair so if you are interested check back the 1st week of August in my shops.

Thank goodness for my Wonderful Sister Sandy and her kids that came to the shore house and stayed with me for a few days...it was SO much fun!

Welcome to my CRAZY life!

Well as you know I have been recovering from foot surgery. It is much worse then I thought it would be. I still can't wear a shoe and the scars look gross. But it could be worse...Oh wait it is worse...lol
Well we are moving on June 15th and got the call last week that we didn't want to hear...our new house is not ready yet. So in a desperate scramble we found a beach house for 30 days. And while this sounds GREAT to most people, I find it hechtic. All of my belongings will be in storage and NO internet???!!! OMG what will I do? No work? Just me and the baby all day everyday. My husband is now working in NY, which is great financially but it also means LONG days. I will be shutting down my shops while I am away and hopefully if everything goes smooth with the move I will be up and running again on July 19th.
In the mean time I have one definite show date: Pennride Community Day on July 11th, 2010. If you get the chance to come out to this show, stop in and say hello...

Being a Couch Potato

Well I got my foot surgery last Tuesday and I am having a hard time sitting on the couch. I hate watching TV and I can't do my crafts because the princess is lurking, just waiting to grab my supplies and run away with them. This picture was a few hours after surgery and my dear Sister was my nurse maid for the day. My eyes look watery because of the pain meds and I brought home a cold too...literally within a hour of getting home I got a runny nose and felt horrible....Ugh

Looking Good!

I am getting really excited for the move now...We snuck over on Saturday to check out the progress and we were very happy to see the roof on, the new garage door, the siding has been started and an extra nice surprise...recessed lighting on the porch! The back of the house will be getting a deck that leads to the concrete slab there. The other picture is our 2 plus acres of land...perfect for a pool, swing etc...

I also had to add a picture of my other baby..lol My Dogde Durgano...love it...best vehicle I have ever owned! Okay Okay enough of this personal stuff...I did manage to get some work done this weekend and here is a new shop goodie for you...The padded Butterfly:

Both of these Butterfly Hair Clippies will be added to Little Pags Boutique Shop by Monday. I am also working on an original Hair Clippie Design...if I can figure out how to make it out of ribbon it should be a hit. I think I will unveil it by Wednesday...Want to get it out there before my surgery on May 11th and I will be closing my Etsy Shop for that week to give myself time to rest...

Trying to Relax....

I am always going in 20 different directions. Always having a tug-o-war with myself between what I want to do and what I should do. And to make things worse I have about 20 projects that I need to actually finish.. So this weekend I tried to force myself to relax, stop and smell the roses as they say. So here is what I did: We road around our 7 acres on my son's 50, trying to teach my little Ava to steer

Then we decided to go to a local Lake and throw down a beach blanket and go fishing...but of course I HAD to bring my knitting, I just can't sit. We had so much fun, believe it or not we caught 23 fish in one hour...22 Bluegill and 1 Rock Fish...as soon as we cast the line out there was another fish on it..incredible!

We then got the call that they added the porch to our new home which is coming along beautifully!! YAY...I can't wait to move in... In fact I just purchased a beautiful bedroom set for my daughter!

Then back to my mind wandering and thinking about how I want to decorate the new place, which lead to the panic of wow I have to finish sanding and staining my bedroom dresser. I am staining it black and then priming it up by sanding the edges...Then to the new line of fabric jewelry I have to finish and load on the websites, then onto how much I need to complete before I have my surgery....it never ends...lol but I do wonder sometime if I will get everything done that I want to do before I die??? I sure hope so cuz my husband and kids would kill me if I leave all of that fabric and craft stuff laying around for them to clean up!!! Fungus Among Us?!

Here is a new Mushroom Hair Clippie that will be added to both of my shops later this evening! It is made out of Wool Felt and rests on a French Clip,

Here is the 1st of many Photo Frames that I have created. This one is a soft pink Christmas Theme. It is made of wood and embelished by me. It can sit on a desk or hung on the wall. And last but not least....here are the scrapbook layouts that I promised on my last post. I joined a class at Memory Lane in Quakertown, Pa with a few girl friends of mine called Layout of the Month. They give you an idea page and show you some tricks and techniques along with cool tools, then let you pick 3 sheets of paper and your homework is to bring back atleast 2 finished sheets. Well I did better than that I made 3 full pages from that. My pages are of my daughter Ava and her 1st day of daycare.

I joined a layout of the month class at my local Scrapbooking store. It is lots of fun and I already got my homework done for my May 7th class. All work and no play makes Janette a dull girl! So I decided I was going to do something just for me each week that makes me happy so here is a sample of what it was this week. I follow a blog called Prim Patterns n' Handmades and the woman's name is Neenee. She is so talented and sweet. She has so graciously posted a freebie on her blog...freebie with a twist...you have to create it and send in your photo. I love her designs so I thought it would be fun to try it. I have only ever made one doll and the clothing part was a little tricky for me. I spent my FREE time this week creating this adorable little bear from her pattern and I think it is just to die for BUT I am stumped when it comes to the dress I want to make her. The Temps have been awesome here in PA...68 degrees. I am watching my DH and my 2 y/o fishing together...she caught this all by herself!

Setting up my Craft Show Schedule for 2010

I have been working hard at finding all of the local craft shows and getting my application's in. I am signed and sealed into 2 so far..it is frustrating that some still don't have their application ready for May yet! It is closer than it seems. I will be show casing my products at the Springtown Fire House on February 27th in Springtown, PA and the other is Palisades High School in Kintnersville, PA on March 21st from 9am to 3pm. The Palisades H.S Craft Show is a fundraiser for abused women and children so please stop by and purchase Handmade products made in the USA and support a good cause....never too early to start your Christmas shopping!!!

I made some cute little M2MG Korker Bows and listed them in my Little Pags Boutique Etsy Shop, here is a picture. I am currently running a Buy One Get One 1/2 Off on all Hair Clippies and Necklaces until Feb. 14th, 2010.

Here is the Tooth Fairy Pillow finished!!! Yay.. I will be listing it in my shop tomorrow. I am also working on some new Hair Pretties for the Spring.

I had to mention the tragic death in our family last weekend...It has been so hard to watch my brother Dwight and his wife Rose go through this horrible ordeal. Rose's son Billy suffered a brain anurism last Sunday, he was only 23 years old and only married for a short time. He was a nice kid and always smiling. I know my SIL is in for a rough road especially when my nephew Danny starts asking for his big brother. My love and prayers go out to both of them....The funeral is on Friday.

We are also looking at houses AGAIN, there are just too many things wrong with our current rental but I am really not looking forward to moving...UGH

New Year, New Goals

I have decided to kick it up a notch for the New Year! I am giving it all I have...that is, what my screaming 2 year old leave's me with....lol

I have been brain storming lately...I have tons of new ideas and just jumped right in. I pulled a few things out of the craft closet that I have always wanted to do but never got around to it. I was surprised at how excited I got over this new project and realized too how much I miss crafting. I made my 1st ever Snowman, that Blogger will not let me load a pic of at this very minute so I will try again later. When I was done with the Snowman I had to start the next project, which was a Flower Bobby Pin. It is perfect for any age (little girl or woman). Here is a pic of it:

We had a great time at my husband's Company Christmast Pary! They had a limo pick us up...It was awesome! I bought a new dress and shoes. We had our 18 y/o son babysit overnight so we could completely relax! We had such a great time dancing and laughing..It was wonderful to ignite the passion in our marrage!

Then I totally lost my mind and decided to bake Spritz cookies with the princess and they're were sprinkles EVERY WHERE! She was double fisting sprinkles into her mouth...lol
With all of the craziness I was able to create a few new necklaces, which have been a huge success! Here is a preview pic:

I'm Paying It Forward, Will You Help?

Not so long ago I was a single Mother of 3 little boys. We struggled financially but I was always too proud to ask for help. I gathered a handful of my jewelry including diamonds to take and cash in for some groceries, I only received $40. I didn't care it was food for my kids...One day a very sweet neighbor who's daughter played with my son, knocked at my door and handed me a box full of food. It was an entire Thankgiving dinner in a box...I cried as I took the box and I will never forget her compassion for me and my kids.
I am not one to donate money as I am always suspicious of where it is actually going. This year a friend sent me some information on the opportunity I have been looking for to give something back. The Opportunity Council of Bucks County has allowed me to sponsor a family in need for Christmas. I am so excited about this!
As some of you may know I lost my home in 2006, and we have struggled to get back on our feet but we are doing it! I know I can give this family the minimum of $30 per person but with your help I can do so much more...
My Adopted family is a 32 y/o Mom, a 14 y/o girl and a 9 y/o boy. Mom got laid off from her job and is struggling to make ends meet. She needs clothes and help with utilities, food etc.. The girl needs a winter coat and the boy loves football and sports...The one thing the boy asked for was an xbox 360 or DS i, he knows they are expensive but listed it anyway.. If you are willing to donate money, gift cards to Redner's, JCPenny, Marshalls, Ross etc.. I will gladly send you a receipt for a tax right off if you would like. I will also take a picture of the items we were able to donate before I drop them off.

Time To Give Thanks...

It's that time again...you know when you put on that extra 5 lbs or so...

Thanksgiving! I love the smells and all of the different flavors of the Holidays, don't you... I am looking forward to spending Thanksgiving differently this year...with a really special HS friend and her family....

Ava is talking up a storm these days, mostly yelling NO...but she says it so sweet...lol My 18 y/o Braeden has moved into his own apartment...wooo hoo for him and me! My oldest son Sean is in the US Army and just moved to Ft. Bragg, NC with his new wife Felecia and there he will be Airborne. He still has a while before deployment, so I am very Thankful for that. Ryan is 15 but still my Baby Boy, he is in honors classes and very much into body building these days! Look out ladies...

Business has been up and down for me...unfortunately! I am doing a craft show at Palisades H.S. on November 21st, let's hope it is a good turn out. I am making myself a promise to get all of my guide classes in for my new Bernina by the beginning of January....then I will be able to offer embroidery. I can't wait to do that, it will open so many other crafting doors for me...

Chilly and Chillin'

Wooo Whooo it is COLD outside....

I don't really like to be cold but I love the cold weather season....Does that make sense??lol

I couldn't live without winter completely but I would like to experience Fall first. It is getting cold to quickly. I decided to take some time away from the business and relax and then business picked up....Murphy's Law right?!

So here I sit with the hubby watching the Nascar race on tv and making Holiday Hair Clippies for a sizeable wholesale order that needs to ship first thing on Monday.

I have been sewing my buns off making Christmas Ornaments and Tooth Fairy Pillows.

Loving This Fall Weather!!!

I love the fall....It is my favorite time of the year! The smells and colors, Carnival and Craft Shows etc... I also get the itch to quilt in the fall. I am working on a beautiful Quilted Tree Skirt for myself...I will post a pic when it is complete.

Life has been busy as usual. My oldest son Sean, who is in the US Army is on the move again to who knows where in about a month...So I am anxiously awaiting the state/country where he will be going. My middle son Braeden has just signed his 1st lease on a apartment with his cousin and will move out on Sept. 24th. Exciting for him but I am a bit sad and nervous for him. Then Ryan is back to school and taking College level english class and he is only in 10th grade. Then let's not forget the Princess who is in the terrible 2 stage!!!! Ahhh, It's all exhausting...

Sometimes You Have To Dig Deep....

Sometimes I feel like I have to dig so much deeper to find my happy place! Ever feel like that? I know I have it better than a lot of other people do but life just seems so hard at times. I have lots to be grateful for but every now and then I just wish things were easier or would go as I planned, you know?! Maybe it is just lack of sleep!

I have been working on some cute Fall Felt Hair Cippies and trying my hand at some new things. More Tooth Fairy Pillows will be coming to LogCabinCrafters.com in the next week or so! I will be running random weekly specials through September in both of my shops so please keep checking them.

I am really enjoying watching Ava grow. I guess because I am an older Mom and at a slower pace than when I had my other children but I get so much joy from her laughter and listening in her doorway while she sings along with the music video's on Noggin. Here is a recent pic.

And Lastly...The Happily Ever After Part: Daddy and I got a babysitter for the 1st time and went to the Pocono 500 Race...It was Awesome!

I've been MIA for a while!!

Busy Busy Busy!

I haven't been able to find time to post lately. I moved on June 15th to Ferndale, PA. Nice home on 7 acres... Braeden graduated H.S., Ava had her 2nd Bday, Daddy had his 42nd Bday and we drove to Fort Jackson, SC on Tuesday and watched Sean graduate basic training in the US Army!!! Wow was it hot there.... It took us 12 hours to get there, plus we got lost for a short while then 10+ hours home on Thursday morning. The baby was great the entire trip....couldn't believe it!

I have been doing craft shows in Peddler's Village every 2 weeks and have another one this coming weekend. Can't wait to start all of my Fall goodies...I am slightly behind.

What a Good Idea!!!

Okay, so I was sitting and pondering the other night about what I could do to help myself at the Craft Shows. See my cheesy table cloth's are from the dollar store and they are very thin (not making enough money yet to afford real ones) so when the wind blows they lift causing my light hair clippies to go flying. I feel like a fool running to catch them or customers running to catch them (sweet but even worse). So I came up with this idea...I used pieces of old fabric and created these cute little nine patch quilts then stuffed them with pellets and fiber fill. I added a piece of ribbon for a loop then purchased the name tag clips from Walmart...WaLa Table Cloth Weights!!! I am pretty proud of myself. And they are cute too.

I have another show next Sunday at Peddler's Village, PA in Penn's Purchase Center from 11am - 5pm so come out and see me Under My Tent...LOL (No more sunburn for me thanks).

One Crispy Memorial Day Weekend!!!

Well I had my 1st show this weekend at Penn's Purchase in Peddler's Village, PA. It was sort of slow, but I believe it was because of the Holiday. Most people were probably at the shore...Hopefully! Sales were okay, not great and I got the worst sunburn I have had in years:( I haven't slept in days. The tops of my ears are so burned and swollen...I even used sunblock several times but the sun was just too strong. I guess I will put up my tent next time...Dah!

I met some really nice ladies and had fun just talking to customers and relaxing without the Schmave for a change. Isn't it funny how much you complain about your kids but when you are away from them you miss them terribly!LOL The rest of the weekend was very relaxing. We started moving some things into the new house and played outside the rest of the time.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and aren't too upset about having to get back to work tomorrow.

Gotta Love Gettin Older!!!

Okay... so I ran out of my favorite lipstick and when I went to read the label on the bottom I almost died...I couldn't read it. It was all blurry...Wow! I have always had 20/20 vision, I never thought that I would need glasses but...TaDa! I went for an eye check-up and I needed reading glasses.. Nothing major only +125 but I still can't get used to it and everytime someone walks in the room I whip them off quick cause I'm afraid they'll laugh...Time to put on my big girl panties and realize it's inevitable, it happens to all of us eventually... Never a dull moment in my life.....

Ha Ha had to add this picture of Ava on her 1st ever mall ride. She was terrified! Pour kid...No I didn't make her stay on it more than 2 seconds for this picture. I wouldn't want to scar her for life.

I have always been a big Eyore fan because I can relate to that big black cloud that follow's him around raining on him all of the time.

I am just shocked at the amount of mean, money hungry, selfish people there are in the world. Doesn't anyone believe in God anymore and believe in the Golden Rule and just plain kindness toward each other? Once again I have been a victum of a creep looking for money from my family that he does not deserve. How do these kinds of people sleep at night.

We are moving AGAIN....Hechtic but totally worth it for the space. BUT before we found this place we were looking at another place and thought we liked it after being rushed through it, then went to meet with owner to sign the lease and again were rushed and he sent his partner who was a double talker, liar and all around swindler. We reluctantly signed the lease and gave him a ck, he never gave us the lease.

The next day we walked around it outside and saw a ton of safety issues and called him and told him that we no longer wanted to rent it and why. He waited 2 days and called us threatening to take us to court and then demanded money from us so that he will just go away. This is shocking, I am not made of money and the only money we have to spare right now is to take our family to SC to see my son graduate from the Army. It just makes me sick...Thank goodness we took pictures of the property to prove the hazzards to our 2 y/o if we lived there because they were made aware of them twice in week and did nothing to fix it.

On a better note: I have my 1st show at Penn's Purchase in Peddlers Village coming up on May 23rd...Yah...Can't wait. I love meeting new people and seeing how much they enjoy my products. I have been creating tons of new clippies and necklaces etc.. I have been busy writing letters to Sean and creating handmade cards for him. Here is one of the cards I made for him this morning:

I am so excited to see him graduate and I can only imagine how handsome he must look in his uniform. I buy almost all of my graphics from Digiscrapkits. Her graphics are awesome!!! No Commercial license needed for her graphics ever!!!!! Well worth it. Anyway I am also working on some Military goodies, like necklaces and plaques. You should see them in my shop within a month or two depending on how well the move goes....LOL

If you have any thing in the Military Line that you would like to suggest let me know by leaving me a comment. This is new for me so I would appreciate the suggestions. It is also a great way for me to connect to other Military Moms, Wives etc...

That's my girl!LOL

Scrap-a-holic??

Okay! I am ready to admit it, I am a Scrap-a-holic...Who knew? I mean how could I have known it would happen to me?LOL

Thanks to an old H.S. friend who recently took me Scrapbooking with her and I saw and touched all of these neat Scrapping toys...I had to have it! Like I already have every tool possible for every imaginable craft! I thought my DH was gonna die! It bit me and so I of course went to Ebay and bought myself the Cricut Machine and then I had to have the Cuttlebug....Does it ever end? I am having so much fun....So as usual to reason the purchase to my DH I have to sell some of my creations. I will be listing flower packets for scrapbooking in my Etsy shop by the end of this week.

So I really need to know if anyone uses their Cutterbug to cut out fabrics or wool felt shapes? This was my purpose for buying it and I have not been successful at it so far.

Ever have one of those days when you feel like you just can't keep it all straight in your head?! That is me these days! I have such a crazy life but I really wouldn't want it any other way...I think that is what is keeping me so young looking!!!LOL

My son (Private Kindess, I love it...sounds kinda funny doesn't it) just left for the Army on the 30th of March....I was not taking it very well at first but after hearing from him on the phone a few times I feel much better about it. He says it is hard but he likes it! Good for him. I couldn't be more proud. Pour little Ava runs around the house looking for him when I mention his name. It is so cute. I am hoping to teach her his name before we go to his graduation in Ft. Jackson.

Yes.... another custom order for a Dippin' Dots Scrabble Tile Necklace from my Etsy shop. It is nice to see retail picking up. I also added a new Bow PonyO to my shop, here is the pic:

Just in case someone doesn't know what a ponyO is I added the picture to the right, hopefully it is self explanatory.

I love making these types of hair bows, I just wish my daughter would wear them in her hair for more than 2 seconds. She is constantly rubbing her eyes because her hair is dangling in them but as soon as I put a clip in it she rips it right out.! Oh well I am sure she will love them when she is older, cuz she already LOVES shoes..LOL right ladies!

Here is a new set of clippies for spring..I loaded them onto my littlepagsboutique.etsy.com Shop and they sold within an hour! Horray!! They are on their way to Maine. Then I went ahead and loaded the Scottie. I LOVE Scottish Terriers. I was raised with one then bought 2 of my own (Mac and Alley). They had 17 Puppies that were so darn cute...Anyway long story short when we moved 2 years ago I had to give them away, we had to rent and weren't aloud to have pets :(

I miss them sooo much!

On the home front things couldn't be better! The kids are loving the warm weather and so do I because they are outside most of the time...LOL I am getting lots of things done around the house and starting to look into creating some new products using Wool Felt. I have been a Scrapbooking Fool lately too...Gosh it is so much Fun.. I went scrapping with a few girlfriends from H.S. Last weekend from 5-12am What a blast!!!! I guess I will be making and selling cards soon too. What's next? I can see my husbands eyes rolling right now!

Lovin' Life....

What A GREAT WEEKEND~~~~~The weather here in PA was nice and warm. No sunshine but I am actually thankful for that because I was in sewing all weekend. Thank goodness for my sweet loving husband Frank. He took Ava outside and played with her all weekend so that I could catch up on my sewing projects...It was a little muddy out there so check out how he dressed Schmave (her nick name)

She loves playing outside with Daddy and I LOVE it too. I got a lot done this weekend. We managed to sneak in a couple of good naps too...

So here is a pic of what I have been working on. They are small Sensory/Security blankets. The bigger one is a custom order for a friend of mine,(Hope she likes it)!

On the other Family Front: Sean is starting to get nervous about Boot Camp...As you can see here he is researching all sorts of things on his laptop, taking it all very seriously. He has begun his own physical training and trying to quit smoking... You Go Boy!!!!He is also enjoying his time spent with his brothers and sister.
I am going to try to post at least three times this week, yeah...We'll see....

Playing Catch Up...

I am sitting here at 12:45am reading the blogs that I follow and posting comments... How crazy is that? I had a busy few weeks and things are starting to calm down...finally!

I sent some of my goodies into Out Of The Box Sampler for their April box...I really am excited about it. I hope I get lots of business from it....So head over and buy a box, you wont be disappointed.

I finally had an Etsy sale..I haven't had a sale there since November and I am still waiting for my first sale on LogCabinCrafters.com I added a bunch of new stuff there too so check them out.

I really miss my sewing machine...It is calling me but I just cant find the time to sew. My head is realing with all of the ideas I want to start creating...BUT I just started a Crochet class tonight because I learned to Crochet when I was a little girl from my Grandmom and I only ever knew one stitch and couldn't read a pattern etc.. Now I know it was the Single Crochet Stitch I have been using all of these years! This lovely lady has given me homework and I am making a purse...We will see how it turns out.

Wow...I have been working so hard on some final details of my new website! I can't believe how many hits I have already. I love Primmart! I have been working on tons of new Hair Clippies for http://www.logcabincrafters.com/ and Vita Essentials Salon in Sellersville, PA.

I decided to start offering a line of Hair Accessories for dogs...Nothing like a Furry Kid! I will be adding those under the Little Pags Boutique Button on my shop very soon.

I have been taking lots of time out to play with the Princess though. She is talking up a storm now. Some of her new favorite words are Ball, Hi, Bye, Choo Choo (with the hand motion of course), Hat, Hot, and EEEEWWWEEEE when she thinks something is gross!

Anniversary Weekend!!!!

Well this Saturday is our wedding anniversay! 5 wonderful years of non stop happiness!!!! Yeah, right, who am I kidding. We have had more troubles then most (the loss of a child, his "friend" embezzeled all the money from his company and left us holding the IRS issues, the ups and downs of raising his, mine and ours, then his leaving and not speaking to him, child support, loss of our log cabin on 10 acres and our vehicles etc..but we remain strong through it all.. He is my best friend! We will probably just stay at home like we always do and celebrate with a glass of wine and a big fat kiss!LOL

I decided on the Heart Bowl Fillers for the February Giveaway!

Wild Weekend!!!!

Wahooo! I finally got out with an old girlfriend for the first time in about 3 years. We had such a great time catching up at a TGI Fridays. We laughed our heads off over salad and wine... Then I ran to the store for 2 more bottles of wine for me and Daddy! Our Anniversary is January 31st. Of course, I had to open 1 bottle and have another glass or two with him.

I was trying desperately to get on the computer today to post but Ava just runs right over and starts crying for me to pick her up then the fun begins...she starts grabbing everything on my desk and pressing all of the keys on the keyboard! Here is a pic of that:

I was not the only one catching up with some old friends...My oldest son Sean looked up an old friend (Krista) and she stopped over to hang out with us. We haven't seen her in about 8 years. Wow things have been crazy around here. Unfortunately my entire family came down with that horrible virus that has been going around. I even tried dissinfecting everything after each family member got sick but it didn't work! It has taken me longer to get over it than everyone else in my family. I just starting feeling better from the virus and I got Mastitus AGAIN.... And then diagnosed with PostPartum Arthritis. It is so much fun getting older!!!! And all of this while celebrating my Birthday and then my son Braeden's Birthday.

We are very focused on getting Sean (Private Kindness) ready for his Army training! He has been vigoruosly working out..So much so that he can hardly walk the next day. He is so excited about it and I know he will go far...

On the Business front....I am currently working on Spring designs for hair clippies. I will be adding some Tissue Cozies to my Log Cabin Crafters shop soon. I have been waiting like everyone else who makes children's products for the other shoe to drop. Not sure whether I should be creating things for kids or not. I am hopeful that they will realize what they are doing regarding this law and make the proper changes to it. Though the letters that I have read from State Senators in response to some other crafters concerns has not been very positive...Almost like they are not really listening.. I will have my fingers crossed until then.

Christmas Came and Went!

Wow, Christmas seemed to have come so fast and before I knew it, it was over! I really enjoyed Christmas this year. We kept it simple...NO CREDIT CARD USEAGE!!! Stayed within our budget and everyone got what they wanted.

I really missed Church this year though. Ava would have screamed through the whole thing. We went out to dinner for Christmas Eve and she only lasted 5 minutes and started crying...Toddler's oh what joy. Babysitter you say....Ha I wish! Here is my little stinker Ava. I don't think this one will ever be sent in a Christmas Card! Glad we can laugh about it!

I got some Scarey, exciting news this Holiday. My oldest son Sean (23 y/o) told me that he just enlisted in the US Army. Wow!!! I love him crazy and it scares me to death. But I am also so proud of him. We have some time before he leaves at the end of March. Here we are on Christmas morning together...Gee can you tell I am tired, I think the black circles give me away!

I got spoiled by Santa.... He is so good to me. And it is funny he still looks just like he did when we dated at the age of 14.

He got me a Blackberry phone and I have no idea how to use it but I will figure it out. I am pretty sure I can use it for sales at shows using email with PayPal??!!

Frank was also so gracious to model my finished Porta Portese Bag. This bag is so sturdy you can carry a laptop in it and there are no seems in the bottom so it will not tear. I will be adding these to my http://www.logcabincrafters.etsy.com/ shop soon...so stop by and look at it if you are interested.

Funny now as I think of it, we were the same age as my youngest son Ryan (14) pictured here when we met in school.

I got another Out of the Box Sampler this month and Again WOW... Tons of Awesome samples. Whatever I didn't keep I gave away to my son's girlfriends. Earrings, Candles, bath soaps, body lotions, dip mixes....I will be more specific in my next post because I don't have the product names in front of me right now but want to blog about my personal favs....

Tree Is Decorated!!!????

Well we decorated the Christmas Tree just the way you have to when you have a toddler lurking to eat your tree decorations! Ha, Ha... Funny how you forget all of these things when your children are grown and you wish for a baby again. Not that I am complaining mind you, I couldn't imagine my life without her smile and crazy giggle!!!! But boy I realize that at 41 I just don't have the same energy that I had in my 20's:( Funny how this picture makes my house look like it is leaning. huh?

So....Back to Business

I have so many unfinished projects just waiting to be completed, such as this little cutie up on my shelf. Doesn't she look devilish? I just can't decide what type of clothing she should be wearing.

Or the Wall Decor...Initals, Names, Or Maybe Clippie Holders????!!

Then there are the newest Scrabble Tile Pendants. I love these, they are so much fun to make the possibilities are endless. But as you can see I am not a Photographer by any means!!! I really need to take better pictures for my Etsy Shops and I have pretty expensive software for that purpose but it just isn't my THING. I guess that is why I have never been FEATURED in anything....Oh well, I won't loose sleep over it.

Does anyone ever really read this? I feel like I gave up writing in my diary and started a blog that is only read by me....LoL

Seriously...I love what I do and I am very blessed to be so creative I know but I wish I was only really good at one craft, it would make my life so much easier and cleaner...Ha, Ha.. If you knew me well you would laugh because I have sooooo many craft supplies that I had to get a storage unit for it all when we moved into a smaller house...

Time To Relax

We had some time to relax and put the star and lights on the Christmas tree with Ava, the rest of the ornaments we will do with all of the boys this week.

Well, I got through the weekend somehow. The Elementary School show was a success, sales were pretty good considering the economy. The majority of products that I sold were scarves, scrabble tile necklaces and hair clippies (the cheaper singles instead of sets).

Now it is time to relax and sew. I have been working on a new bag called the Porta Portese. It is so pretty and I can't wait to list it on Log Cabin Crafters. I have so many items that I have not listed. I just finished a brand new quilted make-up bag. If you are a quilter you will love this bag. The fabric I used is just too cute. Yikes my first real post!!!

Wow, I have always wanted to have a blog and just decided to go for it. So here it is....

I have been crafting like crazy for the last few days. I have several projects going on at the same time. My poor husband has been chasing our daughter around the house all weekend while I work. She is 17 months old and thinks she is a super hero and can climb anything and eat whatever fits in her mouth. To him I must bow.....

I entered the Elf Exchange to donate to Shiners Children's Hospital and it has been a blast. I have added a picture of my completed Elf. I am jealous, I wish I was receiving this gift! lol I can't wait to see what my gift will be! I also can't wait to see if the nice lady that I made it for likes it....

I am also working on the EtsyKids 12 Days of Christmas. You can find it on Etsykids.com and go to blog, there you can read all about it.
